About This Tour

Amboseli National Park delivers one of Africa's most mythic images: enormous elephant bulls moving slowly across a dusty plain with the full mass of Kilimanjaro — Africa's highest mountain — rising 5,895 metres into a blue sky behind them. The park is home to one of the most studied elephant populations on Earth, with family groups whose family trees have been documented since the 1970s. The matriarchs here are famous: large-tusked, weathered, extraordinarily wise. Our 7-day safari pairs Amboseli's iconic elephants with the red-earth wilderness of Tsavo — Kenya's largest national park and the land of the famous man-eating lions of 1898. Tsavo East's open plains and Tsavo West's volcanic landscapes and Mzima Springs (where hippos wander through crystal-clear water) complete a perfectly rounded Kenyan wildlife experience.
