Easy to Moderate — game drives are seated. Rhino tracking involves 1–3 hours of walking on flat grassland. Budongo forest walk is gentle. No technical fitness required.

About This Tour

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest and most dramatic wildlife area — a vast wilderness of savannah, riverine forest, and the thundering Nile River that divides the park. The falls themselves are a geological spectacle: the entire volume of the Nile compresses through a rock crevice just 7 metres wide before exploding into a churning cauldron below. The park harbours some of East Africa's finest wildlife viewing — lions, leopards, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, and hundreds of bird species — all without the crowds that characterise Kenya and Tanzania's famous parks. South of the park, the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can track white rhino on foot with armed rangers, an intimate encounter quite unlike any conventional safari game drive. This 7-day safari is perfect for travellers who want the full East African wildlife experience with an off-the-beaten-path edge.
