About This Tour
Discover Uganda in its most authentic and captivating form on this expertly designed 11-day safari journey across the Pearl of Africa. This immersive experience combines the thrill of classic African wildlife encounters with rare primate tracking adventures, all set against a backdrop of dramatic and ever-changing landscapes.
Your journey begins in Entebbe or Kampala before heading to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only destination in Uganda where you can track wild rhinos on foot. From here, continue to the vast wilderness of Murchison Falls National Park, where the Nile River forces its way through a narrow gorge to create one of Africa’s most powerful waterfalls. Enjoy game drives across open savannah plains and a scenic boat safari along the Nile, offering exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.
The adventure continues south to Kibale National Park, renowned as the primate capital of the world, where you will track playful chimpanzees in their natural forest habitat. You then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, a diverse ecosystem rich with wildlife, including elephants, lions, buffaloes and an abundance of birdlife. A highlight here is the boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for its high concentration of hippos and shoreline wildlife.
Travel further into the southwestern region to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in this ancient rainforest is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, offering a rare and intimate encounter with these gentle giants.
After the intensity of trekking, unwind at the serene Lake Bunyonyi, known for its scenic beauty and tranquil atmosphere. The journey concludes with a visit to Lake Mburo National Park, where you can enjoy a unique walking safari and close encounters with wildlife in a peaceful savannah setting.
This safari is thoughtfully crafted for travelers seeking a comprehensive Ugandan experience combining wildlife, primates, culture and scenery in one unforgettable journey.
