About This Tour
Only 1,000 mountain gorillas remain on Earth, and Rwanda's Volcanoes National Park is one of the few places where you can observe them in the wild. This is widely described as the most moving wildlife encounter available anywhere on the planet — sitting just meters from a 200kg silverback as he grooms his family in the dappled forest light is an experience that fundamentally changes your perspective on our place in the natural world. Our 5-day itinerary includes two gorilla trekking permits (the gold standard for optimal sightings), a cultural village experience, and a visit to the remarkable Kigali Genocide Memorial to understand Rwanda's extraordinary journey of reconciliation.
