At Soroi Larsen’s Camp in Samburu, a night in the starbed offers something quietly unforgettable. The bed sits beneath a glass top, open to the night sky. As you lie back, you can watch the stars move across the dark, clear sky no filters, no barriers, just the rhythm of nature overhead. The air is cool, the silence broken only by the distant call of Hyenas and Lions or the rustle of palms in the breeze. An outdoor bathroom lets you shower under the open sky, with the scent of local plants in the air. If you choose, a private dinner can be served on the tower beside your bed: simple, quiet, and just for two. The lantern light flickers against the wood, and the horizon fades into soft blues and greys as night settles over the bush. Begin your adventure with an afternoon game drive through the stunning landscapes of Lumo Conservancy. As the sun begins to set, we’ll pause in the savannah for a scenic drink surrounded by the golden glow of dusk and the sounds of the wild. From there, your journey continues into a night game drive, offering a rare opportunity to witness the conservancy’s nocturnal wildlife in action. You’ll return just in time to enjoy one of our delicious dinners. Alternatively, if you prefer a later start, you can join the night game drive after dinner instead.

During this safari, you’ll enjoy two unforgettable sundowner settings. In the Mara, our Out of Africa experience places you on the open savannah, where the sky turns shades of gold and crimson, wildlife calls echo in the distance, and drinks are served from a custom-designed sundowner vehicle. At Lumo Conservancy, take in panoramic views from a heated infinity pool perched on a hilltop, as the sun dips below the horizon and the bush comes alive with evening sounds.
