Amboseli National Park
Kenya's most photogenic park — vast elephant herds roam beneath the snow-capped silhouette of Kilimanjaro in one of Africa's most iconic landscapes.
About Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park sits at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro and offers one of Africa's most iconic photographic subjects: massive bull elephants with ancient ivory crossing the dusty plains with Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peak gleaming behind them. The park's 400+ elephant population is one of the most studied in the world, and its open terrain makes for unparalleled close-up elephant encounters. Amboseli's swamplands and Lake Amboseli attract extraordinary bird diversity, while the park's classic savannah is home to lion, cheetah, buffalo, and large wildebeest herds.
